Essential Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Music & Ph.D. in Music / NET
Eligibility:
*A Masters degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in Music subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) in MUSIC conducted by the UGC, or a similar test accredited by UGC or who have been awarded a Ph.D degree in Music in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil/Ph.D. degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be are exempted from NET. Further, the qualification for guest faculty shall be at par with the minimum qualification for Assistant Professors in Universities as per UGC Regulations, 2018.
Desirable: Specialization in South Indian Veena / Violin – should have completed Veena/Violin as one of the Courses at UG or PG levels.
Age Limit: Superannuated teachers may also be considered for engagement as Guest Faculty subject to a maximum age limit of 70 years.
