In 1981, Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal (SVKM) established Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) to meet the growing demand for management education. Qualification:

Qualifying Criteria – PROFESSOR: Candidate should be a Ph.D., with Master’s Degree in Management/ Administration / in a relevant discipline. He/She should have a minimum of 10 years of teaching/ industry/ research/ professional out of which 5 years must be at the level of Reader/Associate Professor or equivalent.

OR

He/She should have professional work experience which is significant and can be recognized at the national/ International level as equivalent to a Ph.D. and twelve years’ managerial experience in industry/ profession of which at least eight years should be at least a level comparable to that of Reader/ Assistant Professor.

AND

Published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with, a minimum of 10 research publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC listed Journals.  Published work may also include such as Books, Research Periodical, PhD guidance, Consultancy Project, and Patent filed.

Qualifying Criteria – ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR: Candidate should be a Ph.D., with Master’s Degree in Management/ Administration / in a relevant discipline. He/She should have a minimum of 8 years of teaching/ industry/ research/ professional experience at the managerial level.

OR

The candidate should have professional work experience which is significant and can be recognized at the national/ International level as equivalent to Ph.D. and ten years of managerial experience in the industry/ profession of which at least five years should be at least level comparable to that of Lecturer/ Assistant Professor.

AND

A minimum of eight years of experience in teaching and/ or research in an academic/ research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/industry with a minimum of seven publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journal. Published work may also include such as Books, Research Periodical, PhD guidance, Consultancy Project, Patent filed.

Qualifying Criteria – ASSISTANT PROFESSOR: PhD with First Class Master’s Degree in Business Management / Administration / in a relevant management-related discipline.

AND

The candidate has published two research papers based on his/her PhD work, out of which at least one is in a refereed journal.

The candidate has presented at least two papers based on his/her PhD work in conferences/ seminars sponsored/ funded/supported by the UGC/ICSSR/CSIR or any similar agency.

Published work may also include such as Books, Research Periodical, PhD guidance, Consultancy Project, Patent filed.

Pay Scales: As per UGC guidelines; but will not be a constraint for the right candidate.
