Job Title/Designation: Professor
Institute: GITAM School of Architecture
Qualification: First class Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture and M.Arch. or equivalent or Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture and First class M.Arch., or equivalent or First class
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture and Ph.D. in Architecture.
Should be registered in the Council of Architecture (COA) and PhD from an Accredited University.
Experience:
Thirteen years experience out of which – Minimum Five years Teaching experience as Associate Professor or Fifteen years Practice experience out of which – Five years Teaching experience as Visiting Faculty. A significant record of research and scholarly achievements, including publications and contributions to the field. People with an international education/professional background would be taken as additional advantage.
Candidate Profile:
We are looking for Faculty for GITAM School of Architecture to teach courses on more sustainable design and development modules to go a long way in teaching the next generation how to design, plan and build responsibly.
Develop and design curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement.
Faculty should provide tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities.
Additionally, Faculty typically reports to a department head. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field.
Faculty may offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students.
Typically this individual is a leader in the field and has been published.
