In 1949, with the appointment of the Radhakrishnan University Education Commission, imparting of agricultural education through the setting up of rural universities became the focal point. Later, in 1954 an Indo-American team led by Dr. K.R. Damle, the Vice-President of ICAR, was constituted that arrived at the idea of establishing a Rural University on the land-grant pattern of USA.

Remuneration: Remuneration will be paid at the rate of Rs. 650/- per hour with a maximum of Rs. 30,000/- per month for candidates fulfilling the eligibility of Assistant Professor in the discipline of Rs. 550/- per hour with a maximum of Rs.25,000/- per month
Qualification:
1. Master’s degree with at least 60 % marks or equivalent in point grading system in subject concerned or related field with Bachelor Degree of Engineering/ Technology in related field
Candidate Profile:
- All the candidates must have completed PG in their relevant discipline
- Candidates should work with a lot of dedication and discipline
- Good Communication Skills
