Organization Profile: Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET) (formerly known as Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology (CIPET)) was established in 1968 by the Government of India with the assistance of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) at Chennai. The main objective of setting up of this specialized institute was to develop manpower in different disciplines of Plastics Engineering & Technology as no similar institute was in existence in the country.

Essential Qualification: 

• Asst. Professor (Management)
  • Minimum Qualifications: Full time First class Master’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent
  • Experience: At least 2 years post qualification Experience in the relevant discipline
• Asst. Professor (Material Science)
  • Engineering / Technology: Full time First class BE/B.Tech. & ME/M.Tech. in relevant discipline (Material Science & Engg.) from a recognized University
    Experience : At least 2 years post qualification Experience in the relevant discipline
    OR
    Full time First class BE/B.Tech. & ME/M.Tech. in relevant discipline (Material Science &
    Engg.) from a recognized University & Ph.D in relevant discipline
  • Sciences:  Full time Master’s Degree in Material Science with good academic record with first class or an equivalent CGPA in the relevant discipline from Indian Universities and Ph D. in the relevant discipline.
    Besides fulfilling the qualification, candidates should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC. Candidates who have been awarded a Ph.D Degree in accordance with the UGC Regulations shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility conditions of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointments of Assistant Professors or equivalent positions in Universities / Colleges/Institutions.
    Experience: At least 2 years post qualification Experience in the relevant discipline
• Placement Consultant
  • Full time graduate in any discipline with four years experience in the relevant area
    OR MBA (HRM/PM) with 2 years Experience in the relevant area
• Associate Professor (Material Science)
  • Engineering / Technology: Full time First class BE/B.Tech. & ME/M.Tech. in relevant discipline (Material Science & Engg.) from a recognized University & & Ph.D in relevant discipline Post PhD publications and guiding PhD student is highly desirable
    Experience: Minimum 5 years experience in teaching and / or research and / or industry of which at least 2 years of post Ph. D experience is desirable

Remuneration range : 

• Asst. Professor – Rs. 35,000 – 40,000/- p.m.
• Placement Consultant – Rs. 40,000/- p.m
• Associate Professor- Rs.46,400/- p.m.
