Job Description :
This is a leadership position that requires a combination of academic prowess and administrative skills, as also the networking competencies. Dean / Director will have to develop the programme in Agricultural Sciences, Agriculture Engineering, Veterinary, Fisheries Sciences, etc. He/She shall work in close coordination with the Director of the Campus and University Officials. Understand the emerging trend and opportunities, creative and innovative bent of mind. Should be technology savvy, an institution builder, motivator, should be able to handle the faculty and academic administration of the school. He/She will formulate the curriculum, set up laboratories, invite eminent faculty, market the program to enhance quality of intake, look after the student affairs, organise internship programs for students and connect with various industries to understand internship and placement opportunities. We are looking for leaders who can imagine and also deliver on the ground.
The incumbent should have a Ph.D. in Agriculture Engineering/Sciences from a reputed University/Institute with at least 15 years of Academic and Administrative experience in the field. Should have strong linkages & network with the industry & academics. Should be well acquainted with the various Accreditation Agencies and Statutory bodies as well as their processes. The candidate should be either at a Professor’s level in a premier management school or Principal of a premier undergraduate college.
Candidate Profile:
- The candidate should be completed a UG/PG in the relevant discipline with good academic records.
- The candidate should have excellent communication
- Candidates should be passionate towards teaching and guiding students
- The candidate should have good research record
