Candidates should demonstrate an ability to situate European literature and culture within broader global, political, and historical contexts, exploring the intersections between national and transnational identities, cultural diversity, and Europe’s position in a globalized world.
Candidates should have a strong theoretical and methodological grounding in European studies, with an emphasis on new critical approaches and current trends in the field. A demonstrated ability to produce high-quality research and to develop new areas of inquiry is essential. We welcome applications from scholars whose work spans various European literatures, from classical to contemporary periods, and those who engage with the intellectual and cultural movements that have shaped Europe’s past and present.
Qualifications:
- PhD in European Studies/ Cultural Studies/Literary Studies
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in teams in a multicultural environment
- Fluency in a European language is preferable but not necessary
