Organization Profile: The North Eastern Regional Institute of Water and Land Management (NERIWALM) was established at Tezpur, Assam by North Eastern Council (NEC), in December 1989 when NEC was under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India. The institutes were registered under the Society Registration Act, XXI of 1860. After signing a tripartite agreement in the form of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation (MoWR, RD &GR), Govt. of India, Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), Govt. of India and NEC, the Institute was transferred to MoWR, RD & GR, Govt. of India with effect from 1st April 2012. Since then the Institute is under the administrative control of MoWR, RD & GR, Govt. of India. The Institute is situated 3km away from the historically famous town of Tezpur, Sonitpur district of Assam which is located on the north bank of the mighty river Brahmaputra at about 180 km from Guwahati. It is connected by road, rail, and air with other parts of the country.

Qualification: Degree from a recognized university and 3 years’ experience in Cash, Accountant, and Budget work in a Government office/PSU/Autonomous Body/Statutory Body.
Note: (i) The Departmental Accountant in Pay Level 6 (Rs. 35400-112400) in Pay Matrix having the educational qualifications and experience prescribed for considering appointment on deputation basis is considered along with outsiders. If the departmental candidate is selected for appointment to the post; it shall be treated as having been filled by promotion.
(ii) Period of deputation including period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organization department or the Central Govt’ shall normally be for 3 years and shall not exceed 5 (five) years.
(iii) The maximum age limit shall not be exceeding the date prescribed for receipt of applications.

Pay Scale: One post of Accounts officer in Level – 9 (Rs. 53100 – 167800) in the Pay Matrix is required to be filled up by Deputation (ISTC) from amongst Officers under the Central Government/State Government/Public Sec-tor Undeftakings/Senri Government/ Statutory/ Atttottoltrous Orgatlizatiotls, Societies.
1. Holding analogous post on regular basis in Level- 9 (Rs. 53100 – 167800) in Pay Matrix’

2. With 2 years of regular service in posts in Level 8 (Rs. 41600-151100) in Pay Matrix in present cadre/Department
OR
3. With 3 years of regular service in posts in Level- 7 (Rs. 44900-142400) in Pay Matrix in present cadre / Department.
OR
4. With 8 years of regular service in posts in Level – 6 (Rs. 35400- 112400) in Pay Matrix in present cadre/ Department.
