Organization Profile: Today the world is facing acute problem of ’Energy security and Global warming. The energy requirement is going to swell several folds by 2050. To meet such a requirement alternative sources of energy like nuclear, solar, and wind energy are the only viable possibilities. Solar and wind sources are uncertain for availability and, therefore, nuclear energy remains the most dependable alternative. Nuclear Engineering deals with the application of the breakdown of atomic nuclei based on the principle of Nuclear Physics. The important aspects of Nuclear Science and Technology include nuclear fission systems like nuclear reactors and nuclear power plants, and even nuclear weapons.

Project Title: Nuclear Structure Studies of Nuclear Isomers and their possible applications
Essential Qualifications: M.Sc. in Physics/Nuclear Physics with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent (CGPA) from a recognized University. Preference is given to CSIR /UGC/ JRF/ NET /GATE qualified candidates. However, Non- NET qualified candidates are also encouraged to apply.
Project Duration: 3 years
Emoluments: CSIR /UGC/ JRF/ NET /GATE qualified candidates will get Rs.31,000/- + HRA for the first two years and Rs.35,000/- + HRA for third year. Rs.14,000/-+HRA for the 1st two years and Rs 16000/- in the 3rd year for Non-NET/GATE candidates.
