Qualification:
- I) FOR THE POSTS OF PROFESSORS AND ASSOCIATE PROFESSORS:
Eligibility:
- The vacant posts of Professor and Associate Professor will be filled up on temporary basis by retired Associate Professors/Professors/Adjunct Professor/Emeritus
Professor/Professor of Practice etc. only. No guest faculty will be allowed against these - The Adjunct Faculty and the Professors of Practice will be selected as per existing UGC
- The retired teachers could be from any Govt. Aided or Private Higher Education Institution of the Country possessing appropriate qualification prescribed by UGC for different categories.
- Retired teachers below the age of 70 years are eligible to apply for the above posts.Honorarium: 50,000/- per month for Professor (at least 35 classes per month and guidance in research work including administrative responsibility).
- 40,000/- per month for Associate Professor (at least 35 classes per month and guidance in research work including administrative responsibility).
- No other allowances or financial benefits shall be allowed in favour of the retired teachers/guest faculty.
- If less than prescribed classes are undertaken by retired faculties, the honorarium shall be given proportionately or shortfall shall be adjusted against workload of immediate next month.
- The Honorarium for Adjunct Faculty and the Professors of Practice will be limited as per the maximum monthly honorarium limit as detailed above. In addition, for adjunct faculty or Professors of practice visiting from outside the jurisdiction of the university, applicable TA will be provided in addition to free guesthouse facilities at the University which will be borne by the University.
II) FOR THE POSTS OF ASSISTANT PROFESSORS:
Eligibility: Against the vacant posts of Assistant Professors, both retired Assistant Professors and fresh/in-service candidates having requisite qualifications can apply.
Qualifications for fresh candidates:- A good academic record with a minimum of 55% of marks (or an equivalent grade) at Master’s Degree level in the relevant subject from a recognized University.
- The candidate should have cleared NET in the relevant subject conducted by UGC/ CSIR or any other Agency recognized by the U.G.C. or holds M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree in the concerned subject or holder of any National-level Fellowship/Scholarship.
Note: A relaxation of 5% shall be given (i.e. 50% of marks instead of 55% marks) at Master’s Degree level for the candidates belonging to SC/ST and differently-abled categories.Honorarium:
- 1,000/- (Rupees one thousand only) per class (with Ph.D. qualification) [Max. 60 classes/month; Rs. 60,000/- Max.]
- 750/- (Rupees seven hundred fifty only) per class (without Ph.D. qualification) [Max. 60 classes/month; Rs. 45,000/- Max.]
No other allowance or financial benefit shall be allowed in favour of the Guest Faculty
