Organization Profile: The need for salt research was recognized by the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), New Delhi as early as 1940, when, at the instance of Dr.S.S.Bhatnagar, a Salt Research Committee was established to formulate a programme of research on the production and utilization of salt. This Committee was later amalgamated with the Heavy Chemicals Committee and revived in July 1948 with Dr. Mata Prasad as the Chairman.
Job Title: Project Associate I (3 posts)

Qualification: M. Sc. in Chemistry
Desirable: Candidate having at least one year of experience in catalysis and/or chemical process development is desirable. The selected candidate will have to work on the project entitled “Greener process for the synthesis of perfumery chemicals alpha-Campholenic aldehyde and Carveol at 1 Kg level in ~85% yield and >95% purity”. The candidate will be working on catalysis, organic synthesis, analysis of chemical samples, process development, optimization and demonstration of the above processes.
