Organization Profile: Doctor Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya Sagar (A Central University), formerly University of Saugor, was established on 18th July 1946 by Dr. Sir Hari Singh Gour (Nov. 26, 1870 – Dec. 25, 1949) by his lifetime savings. This 18th University of India and the oldest and the biggest University of Madhya Pradesh has perhaps the singular distinction of being founded by the munificence of a single person’s hard earned money of about two crore of rupees. Apart from being a great jurist and legal luminary par excellence, he was a great Patriot, Philanthropist, Educationist, and Social Reformer. Dr. Hari Singh Gour was the first Vice-Chancellor of University of Delhi (1922 to 1926) and first Dean (1924) of The Faculty of Law in the University of Delhi. Dr. Hari Singh Gour also held the position of Vice-Chancellor of the Nagpur University, (two times in 1928 and 1936).

Essential Qualification: M.Sc./M.Tech in Geology/Applied Geology/ Earth Science or related field or related sciences with at least 55% marks for GN/OBC (50% for SC/ST/PH) from UGC recognized University/ Institutes with valid CSIR-UGC-NET/GATE/NET qualification.
Desirable Qualification:
1. Work experience involving Igneous Petrology/ Geochemistry/ Geochronology/ Mineralogy/ Mineralization/ Tectonics, etc.
2. Fieldwork experience in Himalayan regions as a part of Postgraduation Dissertation/ Research Project, etc.
Project Duration: 3 years
Engagement Period: Initially for a period of one year, further extendable subject to extension of project, satisfactory work, and availability of funds in the project head.
Age: Below 28 years as on date of interview (Relaxation in age is permissible for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government of India rules).
Candidate Profile:
- The candidate should be completed a UG/PG in the relevant discipline with good academic records.
- The candidate should have excellent communication
- Candidates should be passionate towards teaching and guiding students
- The candidate should have good research record
Pay Scale: Rs.37,000/- per month + HRA, for initial two years then Rs. 42,000/- per month + HRA for third year after 02 years of research experience (as per rules).
