College Profile: E.S. Arts and Science College, Villupuram, started in the academic year 2016-2017 by the Shantha Trust. The target group of the college is the rural poor, the first generation learners, the marginalized, the rural men and the women of the region to educate and empower them. The Government of Tamil Nadu through its G.O. (Ms) No. 53 Higher Education (E1) Department dated 29th February, 2016, granted approval for starting E.S.Arts and Science College as a Self-Financing Co-Education College. The Thiruvalluvar University, Vellore granted affiliation to our College on 18th August, 2016 (Ref. No. 5236). The College started to function from 4th July, 2016 with 157 students, distributed to five Under Graduate Degree Courses B.A. (English), B.Com. (General), B.Sc. (Physics), B.Sc. (Mathematics) and B.Sc. (Computer Science). The official inauguration of the college took place on 4th July, 2016. Our college is the first in Villupuram Municipality.
