Organization Profile: The Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (RGNIYD), Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu, is an Institution of National Importance by the Act of Parliament No. 35/2012 under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India. The RGNIYD was set up in 1993 under the Societies Registration Act, XXVII of 1975. The RGNIYD serves as a youth observatory and depositary in the country thereby embarking on youth surveillance on youth-related issues. It has a wide network with various organizations working for the welfare and development of young people and serves as a mentor.

Qualification for Computer Science (Data Science):
a)B.E/B.Tech & M.E/M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering/Information Technology/Data Science/Cyber Security
b)Master’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Data Science/Cyber Security /MCA with UGC NET/SLET
c)Ph.D in Computer Science /Information Technology/Data Science/Cyber Security / from any of the recognized boards or Universities.
Qualification for Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning):
- a) A Master’s degree (M.Sc, M.C.A), and cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET.
- b) M.Sc., and Ph.D. in Computer Science /information technology or equivalent
- c) M.C.A., and Ph.D. in Computer Science
- d) B.E./B.Tech/MCA/M.Sc, and M.E. / M.Tech., in Computer Science & Engineering/information technology or equivalent, with or without PhD.
- e) B.E/BS & Direct Ph.D.
Qualification for Computer Science (Cyber Security):

Eligibility:
A).
- Master ‘s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) in a relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
- Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2018 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be. Provided further, candidates registered for the Ph.D. programme prior to July 11, 2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances / Byelaws / Regulations of the Institutions awarding the degree and such Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET subject to fulfilment of the following conditions :-
- Awarded Ph.D. degree;
- Evaluation of the Ph.D. thesis by at least two external examiners;
- An open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate had been conducted;
- Candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work out of which at least one must be in a refereed journal;
- Candidate has made at least two presentations in conference/seminars, based on his/her Ph.D work.
(a) to (e) as above are to be certified by the Registrar/ Dean (Academic Affairs).
B). Ph.D degree from a University/Institution with a ranking in top 500 in the World University ranking (at any time) by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), the Times Higher Education (THE) and Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Shanghai).

Pay Scale: Selected candidates will be paid a consolidated remuneration of Rs.52,000/- per month (Rupees fifty-two thousand only). He/she will not be entitled to any other allowance.

Application Procedure:
- Candidate should submit the duly filled prescribed application form along with self-attested copy of educational certificates, experience certificates, etc. at the time of Walk in-Interview.
- Incomplete application without any supporting documents will be summarily rejected.
- Original documents / certificates will have to be produced at the time of interview for verification.
- Candidate will be allowed to attend the interview subject to the certificate verification and eligibility criteria.
- Candidates are advised not to send hard copy of application to the Institute.
Other Terms and Conditions:
- Selected candidates will be paid a consolidated remuneration of Rs.52,000/- per month (Rupees fifty two thousand only). He / she will not be entitled to any other allowance.
- The selected candidates will be engaged purely on temporary basis for a period of 11 months or till the end of the Academic Year 2024-25 whichever is earlier. This is subject to extension / curtailment depending upon the requirements. Under any circumstances, candidate cannot claim any right for permanent position / extension of contract.
- Candidates may note that these contract positions are basically to meet the immediate academic requirement of the Institute and at no point, selection will not make them eligible for regular interviews to be conducted in future.
- Candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, PWD, Women & minority community are encouraged to apply.
- Other terms and conditions of their engagement will be governed by the norms as prescribed by the Statutes / Ordinance of RGNIYD from time to time.
- Candidates need to visit RGNIYD website regularly for updates.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the Interview.
- Accommodation is not available in the Institute campus.
