Organization Profile: Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing, Kancheepuram, Chennai-600127 (IIITDM Kancheepuram) is an Institute of National Importance established in 2007 by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. The Institute is located at the outskirts of Chennai (approximately 25 Km from Chennai Airport) in the close proximity of the IT corridor, Industrial and Educational Institutions.

Employment Type: Contract (2 years extendable for one more year based on performance)

Further, Candidates are required to have hands-on skills and experience working in a studio environment.
Qualification: Ph.D. in Design OR Master’s degree (Regular) in Design/Engineering with 5 years experience after their Master Degree preferably as Industrial Designer in an Industry or Academia.
Candidate Profile:
- Age: The upper age limit for applying for this position would be preferably below 45 years.
- Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates will be as per norms of Govt. of India.
Mode of Selection: The shortlisted candidates will be invited to give a seminar presentation before the duly constituted committee. Only the candidates recommended by the committee based on their performance in the test and/or seminar presentation shall attend the interview before the selection panel.

Compensation:
- The selected candidates would be paid a gross, all-inclusive consolidated pay of Rs. 75,000 to Rs. 90,000 per month taking into account the experience with 10% annual increment every year subject to a performance review by a committee.
- Leave: 15 days leave in the academic year excluding the vacation period.
