- Associate Professor: Minimum 6 years of teaching/ research/ industrial experience of which 3 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent. Experience gained while pursuing Ph.D. will not be considered.
- Assistant Professor: Minimum 3 years of teaching/ research/ industrial experience excluding the experience gained while pursuing Ph.D. will not be considered.

- Associate Professor: Pay Level- 13A2 (Rs.139600-Rs.211300)
- Assistant Professor:
Grade I- Pay Level–12 (Rs.1,01,500-1,67,400)
Grade II- Pay Level–11 (Rs.68,900-1,17,200)
Grade III– Pay Level–10 (Rs.57,700-98,200)
