Organization Profile: IIM Shillong has been set up with a vision of expansion and mobilization of facilities for offering good quality management education and research in the North-Eastern region of India. The decision of coming up with an Indian Institute of Management in the North East was unanimously taken by the Union Minister of Human Resource Development along with the Chief Ministers of the North Eastern States in the Review Meeting held at Shillong during June 2004.

Qualification & Experience:
- Centre Head:
Qualification: Ph.D. in the appropriate branch with first class or equivalent (in terms of grades, etc.) in the preceding degree, with a very good academic record throughout.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of teaching/research/industrial experience (exclusive period of doing Ph.D.). However, in exceptional cases of candidates with excellent academic credentials, this experience requirement may be waived. A fresh Ph.D. may be considered for the position on contract basis. Candidates from Industry (Government / PSU / Research Organization) having experience of 3 years at the level equivalent to Assistant Professor may also be considered.
Desirable:
a. Candidate should have handled projects from different agencies
b. Candidate should have a combination of academic and administrative experience
c. Candidates who have established successful collaborations and convergence
d. Candidates with experience of identifying and developing project opportunities - Manager (Admission):
Qualification: Master’s Degree with 60% marks. Preference will be given to candidates with an MBA
Experience: 5 years’ experience in a reputed organization relating to Admissions of Students with good experience in conduct of CAT / Entrance exams in an Institute of repute in Level-8 or equivalent in Industry. - Assistant Manager (Hostels):
Qualification: Graduate from a recognized University or Equivalent with 55% Marks.
Experience: 5 Years Experience of Working as Hostel Manager.

- Candidate should work with a lot of dedication and discipline

- Centre Head: Level-12 of the Academic Pay Matrix (Pay scale of Rs. 101500 – 167400)
- Manager (Admission): Level-10, Initial Basic Pay Rs. 56100/-
- Assistant Manager (Hostels): Level-6, Initial Basic Pay Rs. 35400/-
