Organization Profile: Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University (IGDTU) for Women embarks on its journey to become Prof. Nupur Prakashthe first Technical University for women in the country. IGDTU was established in May 2013 after upgradation of Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology (IGIT), which was created in 1998 by Directorate of Training & Technical Education (DTTE), Govt. of Delhi to provide quality technical education to the women of our country, especially, the state of Delhi. IGIT has made rich contributions in the past 15 years towards providing higher technical education to the women of our country, which constitute 50% of our population and are major contributors to our economic growth. The mandate of this new University is to provide not only good quality technical education to girls of our country but to also make them better human beings, sensitive to environment and societal issues. The formation of this University would further strengthen our teaching and research programs, offer new industry relevant courses, forge alliances with industries and foreign Universities for joint research, collaboration and knowledge exchange, while providing better infrastructure and facilities to our students.

- Department of Mechanical and Automation Engineering
- Subjects related to the Thermal Engineering, Design Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Automation Engineering streams of Mechanical and Automation Engineering (Theory as well Practical).
Qualification:
Name of the Post: Professor (Engineering)
Essential Qualification:
(i) Ph.D in the relevant field of Engineering and Technology
(ii) M.E./M. Tech and B.E./B. Tech. or equivalent in relevant discipline with first class either at Bachelor or Master Level.
Experience:
(i) Minimum of 10 years teaching research/industrial experience (excluding the period spent on obtaining the Research Degree on Full time basis), of which at least 03 years should be at the level of Associate Professor in relevant discipline. 03 years Post Ph.D. experience is essential.
(ii) The teaching experience should be in a minimum degree level institution.
Desirable:
(i) Teaching, research industrial and/or professional experience in a reputed organization.
(ii) Published work, such as research papers, patents filed/obtained, books and/or technical reports
(iii)Experience of guiding the project work/dissertation of PG/Research Students or supervising R & D Projects in industry.
(iv) Demonstrated leadership in planning and organizing academic, research, industrial and/or professional activities; and
(v) Capacity to undertake/lead sponsored R&D, consultancy and related activities
Name of the Post: Associate Professor (Engineering)

(ii) Experience in teaching at Degree Level institution in relevant discipline.
