Organization Profile: The Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Govt. of India is working and aiming for the empowerment of persons with disabilities since its commencement. This ministry is serving the disabled through its seven delivery models. These are conducting awareness, sensitization, and HRD programs, undertaking research & development, providing assistive devices and livelihood for persons with disabilities (PwD) in the year 1980 which reinforces the idea of serving the disabled. The United Nations declared a decade for disabilities (1982-1992), which led to the advent of the most of the National Institutions. These Institutes started earlier, were working for the persons with Disabilities of different individual categories (single disabilities).

Qualification:
- Associate Professor in Speech Pathology and Audiology:
1. Should have completed five years of service in the post of Assistant Professor in Speech Pathology and or Audiology.
2. Should have made academic and research achievements as
evidenced by quality of publications, contribution to educational and service innovation/ models, design of new courses and curricula, and extension and outreach activities.
3. Should possess consistently good performance appraisal reports.
- Associate Professor (Medical Science):
Essential Qualification:
1. MBBS with Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Paediatrics/ Psychiatry/ Physical Rehabilitation/ Neurology/ Orthopaedics/ ENT/ Ophthalmology with MCI registration.
2. Atleast 8 years of experience in teaching and clinical practice/ or research in an academic/ research position or equivalent to that of Assistant Professor/ Lecturer in an University, College or Accredited Research Institution/ Industry.
Desirable Qualification:
1. Ph.D
2. Experience in guiding research scholars and experience in extension and outreach activities.
3. Experience in Medicine and working with Persons with Multiple Disabilities.
4. Published work in the field in reputed journal/ Presentation of scientific papers at conferences at national & international levels.
For Deputation:-
Officers under Central/ State Government/ Universities/ Recognised Research Institutes/ Public Sector undertaking/ Semi-Government/ Autonomous/ Statutory Organizations.
i. Holding analogous teaching post on regular basis OR
ii. Five years regular service in the grade of Assistant Professor or equivalent in pay level- 11 or equivalent grade.
OR
iii. Ten years Services in the grade of Lecturer in Pay Level 10 or equivalent grade. - Deputy Registrar (Admin):
1. Any Master’s Degree
2. Officers holding analogous posts in any Government Organization dealing with
Administration/Establishment/Academic/ Purchase/Stores/Accounts / Estates
OR
Five years experience in any Government organization in the Pay matrix 7th CPC Pay Level – 10 dealing with the same field /areas mentioned aboveDesirable Qualification
1. Working experience in the field of disability for 2years and also in all the
above fields.
2. Qualification in RCI courses.
3. Experience in dealing with more than one field of Administration/ Establishment/ Academic /Purchase/Stores/ Accounts/ Estates
