Organization Profile: The present campus of NIT Sikkim at Ravangla, although temporary in nature, is also housed within a plethora of conveniences and an abundance of natural amenities. Just like the proposed Khamdong campus, it is located astern to the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Ravangla campus. The State Bank of India Ravangla branch, post office with speed post facility, and an army hospital are located within 2.5 kms from the institute campus. There is also a health centre situated in Ravangla. Sixteen three-storied blocks, each with six 2-bedroom apartments, totalling to 96 apartments in the campus. These are utilized as boy’s hostels, girl’s hostels, faculty apartments and staff apartments. Each apartment has been furnished with cots, tables and chairs.

Qualification:
- B.E./B.Tech. and M.E./M.Tech. from an Institute of National Importance / AICTEapproved University/Institution with minimum 65% marks or 7.0 CGPA (out of 10) in M.E./M.Tech. OR B.E./B.Tech. from an Institute of National Importance with minimum 85% marks or 9.0 CGPA (out of 10).
- A GATE/NET qualification certificate is mandatory.
- For JRF in Computer Science and Engineering, B.E./B.Tech. and M.E./M.Tech. should be in Computer Sc. & Engg. / Information Technology or equivalent; For JRF in Electrical Engineering, B.E./B.Tech. and M.E./M.Tech. should be in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Duration of the Positions: 2 years (Co-terminus with the duration of the Project) subject to the satisfactory performance of the candidate in each semester
