Organization Profile: National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur,earlier known as Regional Institute of Technology was established on 15th August 1960 as a joint venture of Government of India and the Government of Bihar in the chain of REC’s (Regional Engineering College) in India with the aim to generate technical graduates of highest standards who could provide technological leadership to the region. It was among the first eight Regional Engineering Colleges (RECs) established as part of the Second Five-Year Plan (1956 – 1961).
Research Position: Project Research Scientist – I (Non Medical )
Title of the project: Development of Low-Cost Artificial Intelligent System for Prediction of Bone Mineral Density (BMD) From Plain Radiographic Images in Osteoporosis Detection
Essential Qualifications:
- ME/M.Tech, including the integrated PG degrees in CSE/IT/ECE
- For Four Years of B. Tech in CSE/IT/ECE with One Year of Research Experience.
Project Duration: The engagement of the above posts will be contractual and purely on a temporary basis and the initial appointment will be for 1 year. The contract will be renewable, subject to satisfactory performance and project requirements. The total project duration is 3 years.
Fellowship: The candidate will be paid a stipend of Rs. 56,000 + 10% HRA per month (Initial Gross stipend Rs. 61,600 per month) for the first two years and a 5% hike in salary for the third year based on the performance.
