Job Title/Designation:  Placement Officer

Department: Training and Placement Cell
Reports to: Secretary/Program Director, One School of Business
Job Summary:
  • The Placement Officer at One School of Business will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to ensure successful placements for students across all academic disciplines. This role involves building relationships with corporate partners, organizing campus recruitment drives, and guiding students through the placement process, from career counselling to resume building and interview preparation.
  • The Placement Officer will play a critical role in aligning the institution’s academic outputs with industry demands to increase employability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute campus recruitment drives and placement-related activities.
  • Organize job fairs, internship programs, and on-campus interviews in collaboration with employers.
  • Facilitate student-employer interaction through webinars, company presentations, and career fairs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate recruiters, industry professionals, and HR leaders.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with companies for internships, projects, and final placements.
  • Coordinate employer visits, networking events, and recruitments at the institution.
  • Provide guidance to students regarding career paths, interview techniques, resume writing, and other job-related skills.
  • Conduct mock interviews, group discussions, and placement training workshops.
  • Identify job market trends and ensure students are aware of the required skills.
  • Develop and implement long-term placement strategies in line with the institution’s goals.
  • Analyze placement trends, gather feedback from recruiters, and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of placement programs, providing reports to management.
  • Offer personalized counselling to students based on their strengths, aspirations, and the job market.
  • Encourage students to pursue suitable career paths and explore diverse opportunities.
  • Facilitate interaction between alumni and current students for mentoring and professional growth.
  • Maintain an updated database of students, recruiters, job openings, and placement outcomes.
  • Track placement statistics and prepare regular reports for management and accreditation purposes.
  • Ensure timely follow-up with students and employers during and after placement processes.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in placement coordination, corporate relations, or HR roles within educational institutions or the corporate sector.
  • Have to be in the same area for a minimum of 5 years working with good MBA colleges.
  • Proven Track record of getting placements with an average of 5 Lakh and highest package above 20 lakhs.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in data management and reporting tools (MS Office, CRM systems).
  • High levels of professionalism and leadership qualities.

  • Willingness to travel for industry collaborations and corporate engagement.
  • Flexibility to work beyond regular hours during placement seasons.

KRA – Placement Officer

  • Successfully placing a minimum percentage of eligible students in relevant roles within the academic year.
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with companies, organizations, and industries to secure job and internship opportunities for students.
  • Planning and organizing on-campus and off-campus recruitment drives, job fairs, and industry interface programs.
  • Organize a set number of workshops or training sessions on resume building, mock interviews, and soft skills.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date databases on students, placements, and company contacts, with timely reporting to the management.
  • Leveraging alumni for mentorship, guest lectures, and networking opportunities for placements.

KPIs – Placement Officer

  • KPI: Achieving a minimum of 85% placement of eligible students within six months of course completion or rom 3 rd Semester.
  • KPI: Securing at least 10 new company partnerships per semester for recruitment drives or internships.
  • KPI: Conducting a minimum of 5 skill-building workshops per semester for students, focused on employability skills.
  • KPI: Engaging at least 5 alumni per semester to participate in mentorship programs or placement assistance activities.
  • KPI: Ensuring 100% accuracy and timely updating of placement records and reports.
  • KPI: Receiving 90% positive feedback from recruiters on the quality and preparedness of students hired through campus placements.
