Responsibilities:
- Oversee Physical Education Programs: Develop, implement, and evaluate physical education programs for students.
- Manage Sports Teams: Supervise and coordinate sports teams, including hiring coaches, scheduling games, and managing budgets.
- Facilities Management: Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of physical education facilities, including gyms, fields, and equipment.
- Staff Supervision: Supervise physical education staff, including teachers, coaches, and trainers.
- Budgeting: Develop and manage budgets for physical education programs and sports teams.
- Community Engagement: Develop and maintain relationships with local community organizations and sports teams.
- Risk Management: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and manage risk associated with physical education programs and sports teams.
Requirements:
– 1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in physical education, Exercise Science, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in physical education, coaching, or athletic administration.
- Certifications: Certified Athletic Administrator (CAA) or Certified Physical Education Specialist (CPES) certification preferred.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work with students, staff, and community members.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of physical education curriculum, sports management, and athletic administration.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment and supplies. Ability to stand for long periods and move around facilities.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and provide proof of certification and education.
