Symbiosis Centre for Distance Learning is a constituent of Symbiosis Open Education Society. The objective of SOES is to promote, advance and disseminate knowledge through the open and distance learning system, in order to provide education, skill development and lifelong learning opportunities to all segments of the population from India and other countries, thereby enabling, development and growth of individuals, society and community at large.
Job Title/Designation: Dean/Director (Academics)
Qualification: Ph.D. in Management or Engineering
Experience:
15-20 years of experience as a Dean/Director Academics with administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Directs the planning and operations of the distance learning program.
- Coordinates and implements instructional design projects from inception to completion.
- Ensure Compliance with licensing and copyright laws and regulations.
- Develops and oversees implementation of distance learning student and faculty support services.
- Collaborate with the academic departments and external agencies (Business, Government and industry) to identify and provide quality distance education opportunities.
- Identifies emerging trends and conduct need analyses that offer opportunities for new programme and service.
- Maintain program records, documentation and comply with governing norms (UGC/AICTE), etc.)
