About College: In keeping with India’s vision to become a world leader in science and Technology and to usher in a new revolution, resulting in unprecedented economic growth, Government of India reassessed the need of technical manpower and decided to set up eight new IITs. Six of these started functioning back from the academic year 2008-09. These were established at Hyderabad, Gandhinagar, Rajasthan, Ropar, Patna and Bhubaneswar. IIT Indore and IIT Mandi started functioning from July 2009.

Educational Qualification:
Assistant Professor Grade I:
- Educational Qualification: Ph.D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout.
- Experience: Minimum three years of industrial/ research/ teaching experience, excluding, however, the experience gained while pursuing Ph.D.
Assistant Professor Grade II:
- Educational Qualification: Ph.D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout.
- The position of Assistant Professor Grade II will be on contract basis.
Pay Scale:
- Assistant Professor Grade I: Rs. 1,72,624/-
- Assistant Professor Grade II: Rs. 1,23,664/-
