Group Director for TVS Education Society:
Position Title: Group Director
Location: Chennai – TVS Education Society

Job Summary:
The Group Director will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational oversight to all educational institutions under the TVS Education Society umbrella, including schools and polytechnic colleges. The incumbent will be an academician with a strong vision for growth, excellence, and innovation in education. This role requires a dynamic leader who can drive institutional development, academic excellence, and industry collaboration while ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Vision
- Develop and execute a long-term vision and growth strategy for the TVS Education Society.
- Enhance the quality and reputation of the institutions by implementing global best practices in education.
- Establish strong academic and industry linkages to enhance employability and learning outcomes.
Academic & Institutional Excellence
- Ensure the development and implementation of robust academic programs that align with national and global educational standards.
- Promote research, innovation, and digital transformation in education.
- Drive accreditation, rankings, and affiliations with reputed national and international bodies.
Operational & Financial Management
- Oversee the financial management of the institutions, ensuring sustainability and growth.
- Optimize resource utilization, infrastructure development, and technology integration.
- Implement effective governance structures, policies, and compliance mechanisms.
Faculty & Leadership Development
- Attract, retain, and develop high-quality faculty and leadership teams across institutions.
- Promote a culture of academic excellence, collaboration, and continuous professional development.
- Foster leadership succession planning and institutional capacity building.
Student-Centric Initiatives
- Ensure a holistic education experience that includes academic excellence, co-curricular activities, and skill development.
- Strengthen student placement, career guidance, and entrepreneurship initiatives.
- Enhance student engagement, diversity, and inclusion within the institutions.
Stakeholder Engagement & Partnerships
- Build strong relationships with government agencies, regulatory bodies, industry partners, and alumni networks.
- Represent the institutions in various academic and industry forums to enhance visibility and brand reputation.
- Drive fundraising and sponsorship opportunities for institutional development.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Educational Background: Master’s degree in Education, Engineering, Management, or related fields from a reputed institution.
- Experience: Minimum 20 years of experience in academic leadership, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership role (Director, Dean, Principal, or equivalent).
- Proven track record in institutional development, strategic planning, and academic excellence.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, accreditation processes, and higher education policies in India.
