Organization Profile: The University of Jammu and Kashmir was founded in the year 1948. In the year 1969 it was bifurcated into two full-fledged Universities: University of Kashmir at Srinagar and University of Jammu at Jammu. The University of Kashmir is situated at Hazratbal in Srinagar. It is flanked by the world famous Dal Lake on its eastern side and Nigeen Lake on the western side. Qualification:
- 1. A Master’s Degree in Demography/ Population Studies/ Statistics/ Economics/ Mathematics/ Sociology/ Psychology/ Anthropology/ Geography with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale, wherever grading system is followed;
2. Persons with Post Graduation Degree other than Demography/ Population studies should have completed a minimum of one year regular course in Demography/ Population studies at a recognized institution/ University;
3. A good academic record with a Ph.D. Degree in the subjects mentioned at Point No. 01;
4. Published Research work of good quality on any aspect of Health preferably relevant to MoHFW’s Health Schemes and Programmes;
5. A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and/ or research in an academic/
research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/ Industry with a minimum of seven publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC listed journals and a total Academic/Research score of seventy-five (75) as per the criteria given below in Appendix II, Table 2 of UGC Guidelines, July, 2018.

Step 2: Candidate needs to register himself/herself before submitting the Online Application. For Registration, Click on the Register as an Applicant link. Remember the Username and Password for future reference. Use valid Email id and mobile during registration process.
Step 3: After successful Registration, Login into the system by using your Username and Password.
Step 4: Key in the personal details, educational qualifications, experience etc then Preview the Form. If details are correct, Click on Submit. If there are variations or you want to update, Click on Preview button, make corrections, updating and then Submit. Remember, no editing or updating is allowed after the Form is submitted. Get a print out and note the Form No. for future reference.
Step 5: Deposit the Application Fee of Rs. 1050/-, through Online mode only. However, the persons with benchmark disabilities (PwD) are exempted from payment of application fee.

Submit a Print-out of the Application Form submitted online along with the enclosures, duly numbered at right hand top margin, as per the auto-generated serial numbers against each entry, online payment acknowledgement, properly bound, either personally or through Speed Post/ Registered Post to the Office of the Recruitment Section, New Admin Block, University of Kashmir, Hazratbal, Srinagar-190006, J&K.
Candidates sending print-out of their Application Forms by post should ensure that the envelope containing Application Form is super-scribed as “Application for the post of ………………………, Post ID ………… Advertisement notice No. ………. Dated ………….” and reaches by or before the last date. Application Form received by post after the last date shall be rejected summarily without any notice in this regard.
